August 21 grenade attack - worst attempt to kill Sheikh Hasina and to oust Awami League from Bangladesh

The then BNP-Jamaat alliance government is in power on August 21, 2004.Parliament is running in the country, Begum Khaleda is Prime Minister.

With the permission of the government, Awami League run anti-terror rally at the Bangabandhu Avenue in-front of the party office. Sheikh Hasina is the leader of the opposition and the president of the Awami League. Awami League appeals to the government for taking necessary security in the rally but the government assures them to give full security during the period of the said rally.

The meeting began with Sheikh Hasina's speaking in the afternoon in front of party office of Bangabandhu Avenue in present of thousands of peoples and party's workers and leaders. At that time the speedy grenade attack, targeted the leader of the People's Sheikh Hasina and central leaders of Awami Leauge. Sheikh Hasina's bodyguard was killed, along with 22 people, including Ivy Rahman. Pichdala Square of  Awami League office at Bangabandhu Avenue was flooded with blood.After that, Khaleda stood in the parliament and said, "The Awami League has charged itself with grenades to trap the BNP.” Even the ruling Khaleda-Nizami-Tarekgosthi, who was not allowed to mourn in Parliament after the assassination. Can you imagine it? His next story is known to everyone as "Judge Mia Drama".There will be no Awami League, Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina  in the country. There will be no liberation war, secularism, my golden Bangla I love you. There will be no more "Joy Bangla" slogan, red green flag. Nazrul-Rabindranath will not stay. Such a country wanted the murderers. Bangabandhu was killed with his family on August 15, 1975 when the killers killed some young men and some faith-seekers, when they staged a killing procession in Dhaka city with guns, tanks, cannons, and the slogan was called "Pakistan Zindabad".Many leftists and extremists on that day threw some, some recognized, some distributed sweets.

 Awakening to the Awami League,The killers wanted to make Confederation with Pakistan which may be  avenge the defeat of 1971 regime And The blue design of the massacre was created by sitting in the hawa bhavan. Khaleda-Nizami-Tarek thought the power would last a lifetime. But history does not allow that to happen. On the contrary, what is true is established. Today, the murderers of Bangabandhu, the murderers of the jail have been hanged on the gallows, those who have escaped are also counting the death. On the other hand, Bangabandhu has made millions of places in the hearts of Bengali with the power of thousands multiples. And the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been recognized by the successful President of the world. Not only so, she is moving the socioeconomically positions of Bangladesh at a rapid pace in the exploration of the Golden Bangla which was Bangabandu’s dream. The grenade was attacked on 21 August, 2004 and on October 10, 2018 the death sentence was executed to the murderers. 19 peoples hanged, 19 others sentenced to life imprisonment for several years And Chief Kushilab Tareq Zia has fled to London for life imprisonment.Anti-independence Jamaatans are in the throes of a life-saving plea. Today is August 21, that day.That bloody wilderness.Still the conspiracies prevail. The militants are conducting various activities, hence the demands of the time: 1) Let the killers come back and execute the verdict 2) Appeal case should be settled quickly 1) Religion-based communal politics should be banned. 3. Children of war criminals should be deprived of all kinds of national privileges. All officers and employees who are hiding inside should be found and fired.

Completing the above tasks is a demand of the hour.

যুদ্ধ শুরু হওয়ার আগে ইয়েমেন থেকে সীমান্ত পাড়ি দিয়ে কাজের জন্য সৌদি আরব যেতেন আলী মোহাম্মদ। কিন্তু সীমান্তে যুদ্ধের কারণে প্রায় চার বছর ধরে নিজের প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামে কর্মহীন হয়ে পড়েছেন আলী ।আয় বন্ধ হওয়া ঘরে কোনো খাবার থাকে না। আর তাই খাবারের অভাবে ক্ষুধা ও অপুষ্টিতে হাড্ডিসার হয়েছে শিশুসন্তান।

তবে এখন যেন কিছুই করার নেই।এর জন্য দায়ী যেন নিয়তি। দুই বছরের সন্তান মুয়াতের অবস্থা হাড্ডিসার। পরিবার নিয়ে মানবেতর জীবনযাপন করছেন আলী।

ইয়েমেন চলছে যুদ্ধ। এই যুদ্ধের শেষ কোথায় বলার সাধ্য নেই কারো। ইয়েমেনের যুদ্ধকে জাতিসংঘ বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে খারাপ মানবিক বিপর্যয় হিসেবে আখ্যা দিয়েছে। এই যুদ্ধ দেশটিকে ঠেলে দিয়েছে দুর্ভিক্ষের দিকে। তবে জাতিসংঘ এখনও দেশটিতে দুর্ভিক্ষ হয়েছে এমন ঘোষণা দেয়নি। তবে সংস্থাটি বলেছে, দুর্ভিক্ষ আসন্ন।

সৌদি নেতৃত্বাধীন জোট ২০১৫ সালের মার্চে হুতি আন্দোলনের (ইরান সমর্থিত) বিরুদ্ধে ইয়েমেনে অভিযান শুরু করে। এরপর থেকে ১০ হাজারেরও বেশি ইয়েমেনি প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন। বাস্তুচ্যুত হয়েছেন লাখ লাখ মানুষ।

ইতিমধ্যে দেশটিতে যে কোনো ধরনের সহায়তা, খাবার এবং জ্বালানি পাঠানোর পথ বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে। আমদানি কমে দেশটিতে দেখা দিয়েছে মারত্মক মুদ্রাস্ফীতি। বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে চাকরিজীবী মানুষের আয়। সরকার তাদের কোনো বেতন না দেয়ায় মানুষকে চাকরি এবং ঘর দুটোই ছাড়তে বাধ্য করেছে।

জাতিসংঘ বলছে, ইয়েমেনের ৮০ শতাংশ মানুষের এখন মানবিক সহায়তা প্রয়োজন।

আন্তর্জাতিক সংবাদমাধ্যমের বরাতে জানা যায়, ইয়েমেনের গ্রামজুড়ে সব শিশুর অবস্থা মুয়াতের মতো। অপুষ্টির কারণে দুই বছর বয়সী মুয়াতের ওজন মাত্র সাড়ে পাঁচ কেজি। এ গ্রামগুলোতে ভালো খাবার, স্বাস্থ্যসেবা ও বিশুদ্ধ পানির চরম সংকট।

হাজ্জা প্রদেশের বাসিন্দা আলী বলেন, যুদ্ধের কারণে এখন সৌদি আরবে গিয়ে কাজ করার আর সুযোগ হয়নি। সারাদিন ঘরে বসেই সময় কাটে।এ ছাড়া এখানে কোনো কাজ নেই। যুদ্ধ শেষ না হলে এই পরিস্থিত বদলাবে না।

ছেলের চিকিৎসার বিষয়ে আলী বলেন, গ্রামের ক্লিনিকে চিকিৎসা সরঞ্জামের স্বল্পতা রয়েছে। এ ছাড়া ভালো কোনো ক্লিনিকে যাওয়ার যে পরিবহন ব্যয় তা বহনেও সক্ষম ছিল না শিশুর পরিবারের।

Our Prime Minister Sheik Hasina announces zero tolerance for corruption .We are optimistic about her well-constructed decision. Also I have a dream of a beautiful and prosperous Bangladesh.

But in the various sectors of the country, the mountain is equal to corruption and irregularities can be prevented. I am worried about the future. This article is about today's true story of friends who are closely watched in the service sector.

Transparency International of Bangladesh (briefly called TIB) would study on corruptions and irregularities in Bangladesh.  A few years before TIB surveyed about it and according to the said survey activities they find out corruption in the service sectors of the country as follows: the police department is 72%, the judiciary department is 63% and the land department is 44% corrupt.

Almost all the institutions of the country's service sector are corrupt. Despite spending money in these sectors, there is no sincerity (called 'lip service' in English). State-owned service organizations are suffering due to poor service. The opportunity is for the private companies to monopolies. They are doing exclusive business in the name of service. Very profitable, very attentive. Common people sweat to get their services.

The service sector is huge. The electricity, energy and income tax sectors are in a desperate state today. The quality of service is very poor. The general public is being harassed for the post as they seek services in these sectors. Now I have a question-How are employees of these three sectors? The funny thing is that 3 of my friends are employed in these services sectors. The other two are in one school and other one in college .That 3 friends are very rich now. They have a huge amount of money and   resources in the name of cars, homes, gold jewelry and wives. Today they are well-respected people in the society of corrupt and corrupt economy.

I often regret them! What did I do in Dhaka/abroad for a long time? Their idea is to become more resourceful than economical journalism. The collective name of the triangle is 'TMK' by the initials of the name. They live in the capital's Badda and Mirpur. I'm talking about how 'TMK' is destroying countries and nations.'K' was a friend of my school life. His father used to do lungi sewing in a mattress near the Mofsol subdivision. They have 3 brothers and 2 sisters in the family. In a small town, there is a rented room in a tin drive. Everyone studies. Mother made jute bags from a cottage industry association.He deposits it on the weekend and earns Tk 250 to 300 a month. Lack of wealth - "onton " with them. So often I see 'K' missing in class. I did not know the reason for his disappearance in the classroom.After many afflictions, a friend told me the secret of his absence. Buying rice at low prices often goes to Laksam by train. The profit assisted his family for providing foods by sale the rice. Where it is very difficult to provide food for the members of this family, their studies are not further afield. 'K' came to the ninth grade in great distress.

It's 1982,I am a student at Dhaka University. If I am back at night tuition. Suddenly I meet with 'K' at Malibagh Fold.He said -"he works on the power development board. His office at Malibagh." A few days later, I went to his office one afternoon and found out that I had my eyes closed! When asked about the job of a post, 'K' said office assistant. But the meter reader has his title in the Identity card.

I see Benson Hedges' cigarette packet in his pocket. One of the co-workers sitting next to him said 'K' with 3 cigarettes, and they were 17 office assistants but everyone is a meter reader. He pays electricity bills every month to 4 customers in the industrial area of Tejgaon. With a salary of about Tk 2200, 'K' earns Tk 60 to 65 thousands per month. How is that possible? In the reply he told that he  theft of ponds in the power sector. Most of the factories in Tejgaon. Power is used more in the production.

The PDB (Power Development Board) happy to waste huge amounts of money by making these meter readers  only paying a monthly basis. Although the government is heavily affected, these meter readers and customers are either benefiting. And the general public is responsible for the loss. "K" said that a commercial customer in his area paid only

1000 of the 3,000 units of electricity a month, after to the condition.

The condition is that the customer will have to pay the cash in accordance with the fixed price of the unit price. Under that condition, 5000 units per month are readings but pay bills for 1000 units. According to the agreement, the customer is exempted from the remaining 3000 units of electricity bill.Illegal means, 60% of the money collected by the power division 'meter readers' like" K", are distributed among the Chief Engineer, Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Deputy Engineer, Accountant and others. Get the remaining 40 percent corresponding meter reader.Just steal electricity! Readers' business on electric meters, delivered free of charge to the customer. Like many other meter readers, my 'K' boy friend is quite rich today. He owns 20 kathas of land in an attractive area under Dhaka City Corporation and Tongi Municipality.

He owns a two-units 6-stories mosaic building in Merul on a

4.50 decimals land. He has two sarees and three fast food shops in Mouchak and Malibagh. There is also a huge bank balance. Although the friend was suspended from the job for a long time, the power division of the country is in the process for going to underwater today for such kind of mismanaging officers and employees.

The same situation with the gas department. A friend named 'M' was a very talented student. He studies in agricultural science. A very devout friend goes down to work in the middle of his education for family's need. After completing his higher secondary education, he got a job at Titas Gas. He has entered the office as Accountant Assistant but become officer today. He spent long time  in the public relation section. And also he was  a labor leader at Titus Gas. Years ago, suddenly I met with him at Jatrabari.There is no way to know him. He wear a Jinnah Cap and see as a bearded gentleman . He called me by name and hand sake . He said,  I'm "M" I live in South Jatrabari. Belong a home. How is it ! How again! 25 years of service life.  I have done gas connections to big customers. Where is all the irony! He has 2 sons and 3 daughters. He has  3 katha land at Jatrabari. One unit home on a 2 storey basement on 6 floors. Up to 3 floors complete. In front of the house, the remaining land has been rented out. All the children attend Motijheel Ideal School and College. At school they go and buy their own Toyota G Corolla in a car. Further, he has 24 kathas of land in Jurine Muradpur. He has "The Haj Caravan" office is located in Fakirapul. He performed Hajj twice with  his wife! He has traveled to 11 countries.

The third friend is 'T'. Travel abroad if he suffers a  little sick. Servicing  as Inspector in Income Tax Department. Income tax lawyers also roam behind him. He has a service life of 20 years. He earned HSC and  access to the job as a typist. 'T' earned money as the same as "K" friend  . He earn 25 times his monthly salary. In addition to inspecting the files of about 90 companies, its business. All the assets in the name of the wife. From this job, my friend owns 1 luxury flats in Malibagh Bazar Road and 1 in Segunbagicha. These  flats are rentals and he  lives  in the government quarter of Mirpur. He used to come to his office in his own car. His 90 companies do not pay  the income tax what is supposed to be taxable income.Get rid of tax at least 3-5 times. They can get the minimum tax. As a result, the government is deprived of real revenue. By virtue of the agreement, almost all the officers and employees of the income tax department, like a friend, have done this. Regardless of the plight of the common people, the officers and employees of the service sector are quite capable in the society of corruption today. The service sector of the country is also chaotic today due to corruption. People pay taxes to the government in the hope of getting service. In anticipation of a disciplined society. The whole society is intoxicated today. Someone is intoxicated, someone is getting addicted to money. Who is responsible for freeing people from irregularities and corruption in the service sector? If the people of the service sector are not cured, the prospect of building a digital Bangladesh will remain a nightmare.

'O Bangabandu!You made your home country by given your Dot-point blood'

'O Bangabandhu / Killed by brutal bullet I heard / crossed I looked at the distant sky / open window with a faint time / open window / With an unanswered question / Your Dot Bindu  blood built your home country / But you got no reward.'

These are the footsteps of a poem titled 'Sheikh Mujib Mahaprayan' written by Elangambam Nilakant, one of the top poets of Manipur, New Delhi, who was awarded the literary academy of New Delhi after the death of his father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15,1975.

The father of the nation was brutally martyred in the hands of the misguided army members in his home of Dhanmondi-32. On that night of the rainy season, the rain was not fall .only fall your blood.

The bullet of a killer blew the blood out of his chest as a 56 thousand square miles of printed Bangladesh. But the blood of Bangabandhu is like blood flowing in the heart of every Bengali. That is why the month of August is remembered with deep sorrow and respect.

Today is the tenth day of mourning. It was Sunday, August 10th. Then Sunday was a weekly holiday.

Bangabandhu was born in the wake of the Bengali release. Zeljulam has endured all his life in the struggle for the liberation of Bengalis and for them to establish an independent country. Standing next to the tombs that the Pakistani rulers have dug, they have sung to freedom. After independence, a war-torn country was advancing its light.
At various times, including the 47, 52, 69, 71, he returned to the door of death. But what the Pakistani hyenas could not do, was to do the cold-blooded sinners. They shattered Bangabandhu by shattering the silence of the sleepless city in the roar of tank-machine guns.

The murderers then wanted to remove his blood mark. But they failed. Every blood particle created a mujib in the house of Bengal today. He is in the mix of Bengal with the soil, the light, the air.

That is why Ananda Shankar Roy wrote: "Jatodin Rabe Padma Meghna / Gauri Jamuna Bahman / Totodin Rabe Kirti Tumar / Sheikh Mujibur Rahman / Teardrop / Bloody Ganga flowing / No fear will be won / Joy Mujibur Rahman."

The dream of Bangabandhu's lifetime was to establish the independence of Bengal and the nationalism of Bengalis. From childhood and adolescence, he grew up with this ideal. Prepare his self. Behind his characteristic conviction was a deep insight into deep study, acquaintance and listening. He was able to absorb the emotions of the heart enough. Behind him was his compassionate mind to love and help people.

 

             আজ ১০ আগস্ট ২০১৯পবিত্র হজ

      লাব্বাইক ধ্বনিতে মুখর আরাফাতের ময়দান

আজ পবিত্র হজ। আরাফাতের ময়দানে থাকার দিন। সেলাইবিহীন শুভ্র কাপড়ে সূর্যোদয় থেকে সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত সারা বিশ্ব থেকে সমবেত মুসলমানরা আজ থাকবেন সেখানে।

আকুল হৃদয়ে মহান রাব্বুল আলামিনকে বলবেন, ‘লাব্বাইক আল্লাহুম্মা লাব্বাইক, লাব্বাইক লা শারিকা লাকা লাব্বাইক, ইন্নাল হামদা ওয়াননি’মাতা লাকা ওয়াল মুলক।’ আমি হাজির, হে আল্লাহ আমি হাজির। তোমার কোনো শরিক নেই; সব প্রশংসা ও নিয়ামত শুধু তোমারই, সব সাম্রাজ্যও তোমার।

মিনায় অবস্থান নেয়ার মধ্য দিয়ে বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে শুরু হয়েছে পবিত্র হজ পালনের আনুষ্ঠানিকতা। শুক্রবার সারা দিন ও রাত তারা মিনায় কাটান ইবাদত-বন্দেগির মধ্য দিয়ে। আল্লাহর নৈকট্য লাভের আশায় মশগুল ছিলেন জিকির ও তালবিয়াতে।

নামাজ আদায় করেন জামাতের সঙ্গে। সৃষ্টিকর্তার কাছে হাজিরা দিয়ে আত্মশুদ্ধি, মাগফিরাত ও রহমত চাইতে আসা এই মুসলমানরা আজ জড়ো হবেন আরাফাতের ময়দানে, যাকে হজের মূল অনুষ্ঠান বলা হয়।

হজ মুসলিম বিশ্বের বৃহত্তম সম্মেলন। সৌদি আরবের হজ মন্ত্রণালয়ের কর্মকর্তা হাতিম বিন হাসান কাদি সৌদি গেজেট ও এএফপিকে জানান, এ বছর প্রায় ২৫ লাখ মুসল্লি হজব্রত পালন করবেন। এর মধ্যে বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে এসেছেন ১৮ লাখ ব্যক্তি। বাংলাদেশি রয়েছেন ১ লাখ ২৬ হাজার।

সৌদি আরবের রাষ্ট্রীয় সংবাদ সংস্থা সৌদি প্রেস এজেন্সি জানিয়েছে, সৌদি আরবের হজ ও ওমরাহ মন্ত্রী ড. মোহাম্মদ সালেহ বিন তাহের বিনতেন বলেছেন, এবার বিভিন্ন দেশের ১৮ লাখ ৬০ হাজার ব্যক্তি হজ ভিসা নিয়েছেন। তবে সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাত ও সৌদি আরবের মুসল্লি মিলে মোট ৪০ লাখ মুসল্লি শুক্রবার মিনায় ছিলেন। এরা কাল সূর্যোদয়ের পর অবস্থান নেবেন আরাফাতের ময়দানে।

সৌদি আবহাওয়া অধিদফতর জানিয়েছে, আজ আরাফাতের ময়দান ও আশপাশের এলাকায় তাপমাত্রা থাকতে পারে ৩০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস বা তার সামান্য বেশি। এদিন এখানে বাতাসের গতিবেগ থাকবে ১৫ থেকে ৪০ কিলোমিটার/ঘণ্টা।

শুক্রবার মিনায়ও একই তাপমাত্রা ছিল। মুজদালিফায় তাপমাত্রা তেমনই থাকবে। সৌদি কর্তৃপক্ষ জানায়, মিনার তাঁবুগুলো ঠাণ্ডা রাখতে শুক্রবার সাড়ে তিন লাখ এসি ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

সৌদি আরবের ই-হেলথ ও ডিজিটাল ট্রান্সফরমেশন উপমন্ত্রী ড. আহমেদ বলখির জানিয়েছেন, মিনা, মুজদালিফা ও আরাফাতে এবার ১৬টি হাসপাতাল হজযাত্রীদের সেবা দিয়ে যাচ্ছে। এবার প্রথমবারের মতো অসুস্থ মুসল্লিদের সেবায় রোবট ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে। ব্যবহার হচ্ছে চতুর্থ প্রজন্মের প্রযুক্তি-সেবা। মক্কা ও মদিনা মিলিয়ে প্রায় ৩১ হাজার চিকিৎসক-নার্স সেবা দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন।

মিসর থেকে আসা ৪০ বছর বয়সী মোহাম্মদ জাফর বলেন, আমরা অত্যন্ত গর্বিত ও আনন্দ বোধ করছি এ জন্য যে, ইসলামের একটি স্তম্ভ পরিপালনের জন্য এখানে আসতে পেরেছি। সারা বিশ্বের মানুষের সঙ্গে মিলিত হয়েছি। এটা বিস্ময়কর, দারুণ।

আলজেরিয়া থেকে আসা ৫০ বছর বয়সী এক ব্যক্তি বলেন, কেমন লাগছে তা ভাষায় প্রকাশ করা সম্ভব না। জীবন দিয়ে দিলেও এটা বোঝানো যাবে না। প্রথমবার হজে আসা তার স্ত্রী বলেন, এটা সুবর্ণ সুযোগ ও অসাধারণ মুহূর্ত।

পবিত্র হজ ইসলামের পাঁচ স্তম্ভের একটি। আর্থিকভাবে সমর্থ ও শারীরিকভাবে সক্ষম পুরুষ ও নারীর জন্য তা ফরজ। এবার যারা হজে এসেছেন তারা আজ সূর্যোদয়ের পর সমবেত হবেন মিনা থেকে প্রায় ১৫ কিলোমিটার দূরে বিদায় হজের স্মৃতি জড়িত আরাফাতের ময়দানে।

তিন দিকে পাহাড়ঘেরা প্রায় চার বর্গমাইল আয়তনের এ বিশাল সমতল মাঠের এক প্রান্তে জাবালে রহমত। অর্থাৎ রহমতের পাহাড়। ১৪শ’ বছরের বেশি সময় আগে এখানেই ইসলামের শেষ নবী হজরত মুহাম্মদ (স.) দিয়েছিলেন তার বিদায় হজের ভাষণ।

এ পাহাড়টিকে কেউ কেউ দোয়ার পাহাড়ও বলে থাকেন। বলা হয়ে থাকে, আদি পিতা আদম (আ.) ও আদি মাতা হাওয়া (আ.) পৃথিবীতে পুনর্মিলনের পর এই আরাফাতে এসে আল্লাহর কাছে কৃতজ্ঞতা জানিয়েছিলেন।

আরাফাতের ময়দানে বা এর পাশের পাহাড়ে সুবিধাজনক স্থানে অবস্থান নিয়ে আজ মুসল্লিরা ‘হে আল্লাহ, আমি হাজির’ জানিয়ে অতীতের সব গুনাহ মাফের জন্য কায়মনোবাক্যে ফরিয়াদ জানাবেন মহান আল্লাহর কাছে।

কেঁদে বুক ভাসিয়ে চাইবেন আল্লাহর রহমত, জীবনের বাকি দিন ইসলামের পথে চলার সহায়তা। আকুতি জানাবেন প্রকৃত সফলতা অর্জনের, জান্নাতের বাসিন্দা হওয়ার। মাঠ, পাহাড়, পথ- সবখানে আজ থাকবে সেই রোনাজারি। মসজিদে নামিরায় তারা জোহর ও আসরের নামাজ আদায় করবেন। এ নামিরা থেকেই দেয়া হবে হজের খুতবা।

এই আরাফাতে উপস্থিত না হলে হজ পূর্ণ হয় না। তাই হজে এসে যারা অসুস্থ হয়ে হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন, তাদেরও অ্যাম্বুলেন্সে করে আজ আনা হবে এখানে। ইসলামী রীতি অনুযায়ী, জিলহজ মাসের নবম দিনটি আরাফাতের ময়দানে অবস্থান করে ইবাদতে কাটানোই হল হজ।

সারা দিন আরাফাতে অবস্থানের পর বিকালে মুসল্লিরা পা বাড়াবেন মিনার পথে। প্রায় ১২ কিলোমিটার দূরের মুজদালিফায় মাগরিব ও এশার নামাজ পড়বেন তারা। সেখানেই রাতে খোলা আকাশের নিচে থাকবেন। এটি ওয়াজিব। এ সময়েই তারা প্রয়োজনীয় সংখ্যক পাথর সংগ্রহ করবেন, যা মিনার জামারায় প্রতীকী শয়তানকে উদ্দেশ্য করে ছোড়া হবে।

মুজদালিফায় ফজরের নামাজ আদায়ের পর হাজিরা কেউ ট্রেনে, কেউ বাসে, কেউ হেঁটে মিনায় ফিরে নিজ তাঁবুতে ফিরবেন। মিনায় বড় শয়তানকে সাতটি পাথর মারার পর পশু কোরবানি দিয়ে মাথার চুল ছেঁটে (ন্যাড়া) গোসল করবেন।

এরপর পবিত্র কাবা শরিফ সাতবার তাওয়াফ করবেন। এটি হজের আরেকটি ফরজ। কাবার সামনের দুই পাহাড় সাফা ও মারওয়ায় সাঈ (সাতবার দৌড়ানো) করবেন। মিনায় তারা যতদিন থাকবেন ততদিন প্রতীকী শয়তানকে লক্ষ্য করে পাথর ছুড়ে মারবেন। সবশেষে কাবা শরিফ বিদায়ী তাওয়াফের (ওয়াজিব) মধ্য দিয়ে শেষ হবে হজের আনুষ্ঠানিকতা।

কাবায় পরানো হবে নতুন গিলাফ : সৌদি প্রেস এজেন্সি জানিয়েছে, প্রতিবছরের মতো আরাফাতের দিনে (৯ জিলহজ) আজ পবিত্র কাবা আচ্ছাদিত হবে নতুন গিলাফে। পবিত্র মসজিদের (মসজিদুল হারাম) ও মসজিদে নববীর সভাপতি শেখ ড. আবদুল রহমান বিন আবদুল আজিজ আল-সুদাইসের তত্ত্বাবধানে আজ ফজরের নামাজের পর নতুন এ গিলাফ পরানো হবে।

এবারের গিলাফটি তৈরি করা হয়েছে সিল্কের ৬৭০ কেজি সুতা, স্বর্ণের ১২০ কেজি সুতা এবং রুপার ১০০ কেজি সুতা দিয়ে। কালো জমিনের ওপর অঙ্কিত হয়েছে সোনালি আরবি হরফে কোরআনের আয়াত। বাদশাহ আবদুল আজিজ কমপ্লেক্সে ১৬০ শিল্পী ও কারিগর এ গিলাফটি তৈরি করেছেন।

নতুন গিলাফ পরানোর সময় পুরনো গিলাফ সরিয়ে ফেলা হয়। তা কেটে মুসলিম বিশ্বের সরকারপ্রধানদের দেয়া হয় উপহার। বাংলাদেশে বায়তুল মোকাররম মসজিদে গিলাফের একটি টুকরো টানানো রয়েছে।
