Coronavirus has stopped the world. All normal activities have stopped. Strikes are underway in the affected countries. Until yesterday evening, Corona has not been spread to 176 countries and regions. In 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 9 ,844. The most dire situation in Europe is Italy. There were 427 people killed in the 24 hours till evening. In all, the death toll in the country stands at 3405. Which is the highest of all time. And in China, the death toll is 3245. In addition, the situation in Iran and the United States is critical. Iranian health minister Eraz Hariarchi said yesterday that "every hour in Iran,forty three people are being attacked and three are being killed." Beside One day 41 people  died in USA. According to reports, sky, ground and waterways have been closed worldwide due to Corona. Emergency has been issued in many countries. Schools and colleges have been closed. People are also banned from getting in the way. All soccer games in England were suspended yesterday. The ASEAN summit in Vietnam was also suspended in June. It is reported that from China to Italy, from the United States to Iran, from Germany to Spain - the coroner's throat has stalled. The whole world has been disconnected. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that curfew will be issued daily from 7am to 9pm in India on Sunday because of coronavirus. He made the announcement in a speech to the nation at 8pm last night. In his address, Modi said that 'mass curfew' would be effective from Sunday. Curfew will be issued from 7am to 9pm every day across the country. He urged her not to leave the house at this time. He also urged every citizen of the country to abide by this curfew, adding that no one will be over-bought in panic; Economic Response Task Force has been set up to prevent economic loss. Be careful. So far, the number of people affected in the country of Italy is 35,713. 2 thousand 978 people lost their lives. Note that the whole of Italy has been blocked for almost two weeks.

This deadline may be extended to control the situation. The country's health authorities have urged people not to leave the house for a while. In Iran, 18407 people have been attacked. Yesterday, 1046 people were newly attacked. So far, a total of 1 thousand 284 people have died. According to World Ometers statistics, as of 1pm yesterday, 579 people have been infected with Coronas worldwide.

 In addition, 205 have died so far in the United States, 152 in South Korea, 72 in Japan, 40 in Australia, two in India, 25 in Mexico, 5 in Armenia, 8 in Taiwan, 9 in Colombia, 2 in Bulgeria, 2 in Georgia, 1 in Kazakhstan, 8 in New Zealand. The first one people died in Russia yesterday. The number of coronas in the country is 147.

Coronavirus: The impact of that sector in Bangladesh

China has been isolated from deadly coronavirus. For the past three months, the world has closed all sorts of contacts with China.

That has had a negative impact on the global economy. With China, the import-exporting countries are in crisis. Some sectors are under severe threat.

Meanwhile, the virus has spread across the Chinese border to one hundred sixty five countries. That is why not only the bilateral trade arrangements with China have stopped, but the global economic system has also fallen.

In this situation, coronavirus has started to have serious negative effects in some sectors of Bangladesh, said traders in the country.

This was stated in a report by the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission, an organization under the Ministry of Commerce.

According to the report, raw materials have been in crisis in different industries in Bangladesh due to the closure of imports with China. So production is shrinking. If the situation is not brought under control quickly, production in some sectors will fall to zero quota.

The Trade and Tariff Commission sent the report to the Secretary of Commerce on February 20.

The report outlines the potential losses in several sectors. And the FBCCI, the top business organization, has sought government's help in dealing with the losses in those sectors.

The report highlighted the potential losses suffered by coronavirus:

Garment accessories and packaging manufacturers industry

Every year, Bangladesh imports four billion dollars’ worth of raw materials into garment accessories and packaging sectors. 40 percent of which comes from China. The shortage of raw material available at the Corona risk poses a potential for production to shrink. The businessmen are concerned about the financial loss of Tk 1.5 billion.

Oven sector of readymade garments

The impact of the coronavirus has already started to have a negative impact on the industry. About 60 percent of the raw material comes from China. Which is almost closed now. Production in this sector may fall to zero quota if the corona effect continues. The maximum amount of damage will be.

Knit sector of readymade garments

About 15 to 20 percent of the net sector raw material is imported from China. In addition, Knit and Dyeing Chemical and accessories account for 80 to 85 percent of imports from China. The issue of damage to this sector is also ongoing.

Finished leather and leather goods industry

China Finished Leather and Leather Goods Industry manufactures about 60 to 65 percent of the exports to China. The impact of coronavirus on the potential damage to the sector will be around three thousand crore.

Cosmetics and Toiletries Industry

The imports from China to the cosmetics and toiletries sector account for more than 200 containers per month. The value of which is about Tk. 75 crores .Currently, the import and shipping of these products from China is stopped.

Live and chilled food industry

The sector has suffered huge losses due to coronavirus. About 90 percent of Bangladesh's crabs and cucumbers are exported to China. And the export has been closed since January 25. Therefore, crabs and crows are being sold at a nominal price in the local market. About Tk 200 Crores live crabs and crows have died in the last one month due to failure to export products. If the goods are not able to be exported, the amount of loss will be more than Tk 350 -450 crores.

The plastic industry

Spare parts of various machines including raw material and machinery such as injection molding, printing, extraction machine parts are to be brought from China. The entire sector is under threat due to the closure of supply of these products.

Electrical Merchandise Manufacturers Industry

About 80 to 85 percent of the machinery and spare parts imported into Bangladesh come from China. The sector has been stagnant due to imports and shipping.

Computer & Computer Accessories Industry

The computer sector has had a similar effect. Due to the almost dependent on China in this sector, prices of raw materials, parts, accessories etc. have increased.

Medical Instrument and Hospital Equipment Manufacturers

About 25 containers are required to be imported annually from Medical Instrument and Hospital Equipment China. Imports and shipping are currently closed. Financial loss assessment activities are underway in this sector.

The electronics industry

From China, TV, fridge, mobile phone, oven, chargers and electronics account for 80 percent of the products. Due to the shutdown of imports and shipping, the crisis in the local market has started to emerge.

Printing industry

About $ 180 crores a year is imported from China, the raw material of the printing industry. Imports and shipping are currently closed. The financial loss in this sector is estimated to be about $ 360 crores.

Jute spinners industry

Bangladesh exports around Tk 532 crores jute spinners products to China annually. China's exports and shipping are currently closed, but they are also closed.

Eyeglasses

Almost all of the raw materials in the glass industry come from China. At present, imports and shipping from China are closed. The Commission is also working on the financial loss assessment.

Commerce Secretary Dr. Md. Zafar Uddin told a media that the government was working with all stakeholders, including businessmen, to overcome the disadvantages of coronavirus in the country's trade.

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim said special policies and credit were sought for the traders from different sectors.Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal recently received a letter in this regard.

শুভ জন্মদিন জাতির পিতা, তোমাকে ভালোবাসে বাংলাদেশ

আজ মঙ্গলবার ১৭ মার্চ ২০২০ মুক্তির মহানায়কের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী 

সেদিন ছিল ১৯২০ সালের ১৭ মার্চ, মঙ্গলবার। রাত ৮টার দিকে মা সায়েরা খাতুনের কোল আলোকিত করে আসেন ইতিহাসের মহানায়ক; বাঙালি ও বাংলাদেশের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান। আজ বাংলার সেই অবিসংবাদিত নেতা, স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের স্বপ্নদ্রষ্টা শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের ‘জন্মশতবার্ষিকী’।

ইতিহাসের খরস্রোতায় ১৯২০ সালের সেদিনের মতো শত বছর পর আজকের দিনটিও মঙ্গলবার। দিনটি স্মরণীয় করে রাখতে বর্ণিল আলোকসজ্জা, আতশবাজি আর নানা কর্মসূচির মধ্য দিয়ে ‘বিশ্ববন্ধুর’ জন্মদিন উদযাপন করবে পুরো জাতি।

আজ বাঙালি জাতির আনন্দে পুলকিত হওয়ার দিন। সর্বকালের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ বাঙালির জন্মদিনে দেশের ১৬ কোটি মানুষ বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা, সালাম আর হৃদয় নিংড়ানো ভালোবাসা জানাতে উদগ্রীব।

আজ থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে বহুল কাঙ্ক্ষিত ‘মুজিববর্ষ’। ১০ জানুয়ারি বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তন দিবসে শুরু হয়েছিল ক্ষণগণনা। গণনা শেষে আজ রাত ৮টায় ঐতিহাসিক সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যানে উদ্বোধন করা হবে জাতির পিতার ‘জন্মশতবার্ষিকী’। অনুষ্ঠানটি দেশের সব গণমাধ্যমে সরাসরি সম্প্রচার করা হবে।

সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমেও সম্প্রচার করা হবে। শুরুতে জাতীয় সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন করা হবে। এরপর জাতির উদ্দেশে রাষ্ট্রপতি মো. আবদুল হামিদের বাণী, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার ভাষণ, বঙ্গবন্ধুর কনিষ্ঠ কন্যা শেখ রেহানার অনুভূতি প্রকাশ ও তার লেখা কবিতা প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কণ্ঠে পাঠ, বিভিন্ন দেশ ও সংস্থা প্রধানদের ভিডিওবার্তা প্রচার করা হবে।

বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মদিনটি জাতীয় শিশু দিবস বিধায় শত শিশুর কণ্ঠে জাতীয় সঙ্গীত ও দলীয় সঙ্গীতের পরিবেশনা থাকবে। শত শিল্পীর পরিবেশনায় যন্ত্রসঙ্গীত, মুজিববর্ষের থিম সং, বঙ্গবন্ধুর জীবন ও কর্মকে তুলে ধরে একটি থিয়েট্রিকাল পারফরম্যান্স ও বিশ্বখ্যাত কোরিওগ্রাফার আকরাম খানের পরিবেশনা থাকছে প্রোগ্রামে।

প্রায় ২ ঘণ্টাব্যাপী অনুষ্ঠান শেষে জাতীয় সংসদের দক্ষিণ প্লাজা থেকে পিক্সেল ম্যাপিংয়ের লাইভ সম্প্রচারের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি হবে। সারা দেশেও আলোকসজ্জা, আতশবাজি আর বর্ণাঢ্য নানা আয়োজনের মধ্য দিয়ে শুরু হবে বছরব্যাপী ‘মুজিববর্ষ’ উদযাপন। দেশীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে ‘মুজিববর্ষ’ উদযাপনের মহাপরিকল্পনা নেয়া হয়েছিল।

কিন্তু ‘করোনাভাইরাস’ বিশ্বব্যাপী মহামারী আকার ধারণ করায় এ সংক্রান্ত সব কর্মসূচি সংক্ষিপ্ত করা হয়েছে। বাতিল করা হয়েছে- জাতীয় প্যারেড স্কোয়ারে দেড় লাখ মানুষ নিয়ে মুজিববর্ষের বর্ণিল উদ্বোধনী আয়োজন, টুঙ্গিপাড়ার শিশুমেলা ও আলোচনা সভা। জন্মশতবার্ষিকীর অনুষ্ঠানে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদিসহ বিশ্বনেতাদের উপস্থিত থাকার কথা ছিল। তাও বাতিল করা হয়েছে।

এছাড়া সারা দেশে সরকারি ও বেসরকারিভাবে ঘোষিত যেসব কর্মসূচিতে লোকসমাগম হবে এমন অনুষ্ঠান বাতিল করা হয়েছে। ‘মুজিববর্ষ’ উপলক্ষে আজ সারা দেশের সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে বঙ্গবন্ধুকে নিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার লেখা চিঠি পাঠের অনুষ্ঠানও ৩১ মার্চ পর্যন্ত স্থগিত করা হয়েছে। আজ থেকে সব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ ঘোষণা করায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়।

এছাড়া বড় আকারে আনন্দ আয়োজন, সেবা ও উন্নয়নের বিষয়গুলো, স্বল্পদৈর্ঘ্য চলচ্চিত্র, প্রামাণ্যচিত্র প্রদর্শনী, আন্তর্জাতিক প্রকাশনা, বঙ্গবন্ধুর নামে আন্তর্জাতিক পুরস্কার প্রবর্তন, গ্রিন ফ্যাক্টরি অ্যাওয়ার্ড, বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবের প্রতিকৃতি গিনেস ওয়ার্ল্ড রেকর্ডস হিসেবে অন্তর্ভুক্তকরণ, বাংলা ও ইংরেজিতে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব জন্মশতবার্ষিকী স্মারক গ্রন্থ প্রকাশের মতো কর্মসূচিগুলো সংক্ষিপ্ত করা হয়েছে।

তদানীন্তন ফরিদপুর জেলার গোপালগঞ্জ মহকুমার টুঙ্গিপাড়ায় জন্ম নেয়া শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের বাবা শেখ লুৎফর রহমান ও মা সায়েরা খাতুন। তাদের চার মেয়ে ও দুই ছেলের মধ্যে শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান ছিলেন তৃতীয়।

দিবসটি উপলক্ষে আজ সব সরকারি, আধা-সরকারি, বেসরকারিসহ অন্যান্য প্রতিষ্ঠানে সরকারি ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। আওয়ামী লীগসহ বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক, সামাজিক, সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠনের উদ্যোগে থাকছে নানা আয়োজন। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে রাষ্ট্রপতি মো. আবদুল হামিদ ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা পৃথক বাণী দিয়েছেন।

সকাল ১০টায় রাষ্ট্রপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী টুঙ্গিপাড়া যাবেন। সেখানে বঙ্গবন্ধুর সমাধিতে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণের মাধ্যমে মহান এ নেতার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করবেন তারা।

বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের শততম জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে ২০২০-২১ সালকে মুজিববর্ষ ঘোষণা করে সরকার। মুজিববর্ষ ঘিরে এরই মধ্যে মহাপরিকল্পনা নেয়া হয়েছে।

জাঁকজমকপূর্ণভাবে বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মশতবার্ষিকীর অনুষ্ঠান উদযাপনে দুটি কমিটি গঠন করা হয়। এর মধ্যে একটি হচ্ছে ১০২ সদস্যবিশিষ্ট ‘জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উদযাপন জাতীয় কমিটি।’ অপরটি ৬১ সদস্যবিশিষ্ট ‘জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উদযাপন জাতীয় বাস্তবায়ন কমিটি।’ কমিটি দুটি বছরব্যাপী কর্মসূচি পরিকল্পনা ও বাস্তবায়নে কাজ করবে।

বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান টুঙ্গিপাড়ার চিরায়ত গ্রামীণ সমাজের সুখ-দুঃখ, হাসি-কান্না, আবেগ-অনুভূতি শিশুকাল থেকে গভীরভাবে প্রত্যক্ষ করেছেন। গ্রামের মাটি আর মানুষ তাকে প্রবলভাবে আকর্ষণ করত। শৈশব থেকে তৎকালীন সমাজজীবনে তিনি জমিদার, তালুকদার ও মহাজনদের অত্যাচার, শোষণ ও প্রজা পীড়ন দেখে চরমভাবে ব্যথিত হতেন। গ্রামের হিন্দু, মুসলমানদের সম্মিলিত সম্প্রীতির সামাজিক আবহে তিনি দীক্ষা পান অসাম্প্রদায়িক চেতনার।

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম প্রধান রাজনৈতিক নেতা, যিনি পূর্ব পাকিস্তান থেকে বাংলাদেশ প্রতিষ্ঠার সংগ্রামের পুরোধা ব্যক্তিত্ব। বাংলাদেশের স্বপ্নদ্রষ্টা ও প্রতিষ্ঠাতা। জনসাধারণের কাছে তিনি ‘শেখ মুজিব’ ও ‘শেখ সাহেব’ হিসেবে বেশি পরিচিত এবং তার উপাধি ‘বঙ্গবন্ধু’।

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান বাঙালি ও বাংলাদেশের গৌরবোজ্জ্বল অধ্যায়ে কালজয়ী নাম। বিশ্ববাঙালির গর্ব- মৃত্যুঞ্জয়ী মহামানব বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব। দীর্ঘ আন্দোলন-সংগ্রাম এবং সীমাহীন ত্যাগ-তিতিক্ষার মধ্য দিয়ে তিনি বাঙালি জাতির জন্য একটি স্বতন্ত্র রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছেন।

তিনি বাংলার এক প্রান্ত থেকে আরেক প্রান্ত ছুটে বেড়িয়ে বাঙালির কাছে পৌঁছে দেন পরাধীনতার শিকল ভাঙার মন্ত্র। সে মন্ত্রে বলীয়ান হয়ে স্বাধীন দেশে পরিণত হওয়ার পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশ আজ বিশ্বে রোল মডেল। তার সুযোগ্য কন্যা বর্তমান প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে দেশ উন্নতির পথে এগিয়ে চলেছে।

সেদিনের টুঙ্গিপাড়ার অজপাড়াগাঁয় জন্ম নেয়া ‘খোকা’ ডাকনামের সেই শিশুটি পরবর্তী সময়ে হয়ে ওঠেন নির্যাতিত-নিপীড়িত বাঙালি জাতির মুক্তির দিশারি। গভীর রাজনৈতিক প্রজ্ঞা, আত্মত্যাগ ও জনগণের প্রতি অসাধারণ মমত্ববোধের কারণেই পরিণত বয়সে হয়ে ওঠেন বাঙালি জাতির অবিসংবাদিত নেতা বঙ্গবন্ধু।

রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকদের মতে- সমাজ ও রাজনীতি ‘নেতা’ বা ‘নায়ক’ হিসেবে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করে নিতে পারেন অনেকেই। মাঝে মাঝে অসাধারণ ক্যারিশমাসম্পন্নরা ‘বড় নেতা’ অথবা ‘মহানায়কের’ আখ্যায়ও ভূষিত হওয়ার যোগ্যতা অর্জন করেন। তবে তারা প্রায় সবাই সমসাময়িক কালের নেতা, চলতি পারিপার্শ্বিকতার প্রেক্ষাপটের নায়ক।

কিন্তু ‘ইতিহাসের নায়ক’ হওয়ার মতো যোগ্যতাসম্পন্ন মানুষ সব কালে, সব যুগে সৃষ্টি হয় না। যুগ-যুগান্তরের পরিক্রমায় হাতেগোনা এক-আধজনই শুধু ‘ইতিহাসের নায়ক’ হয়ে উঠতে পারেন। ইতিহাস তার আপন তাগিদেই ‘নায়কের’ উদ্ভব ঘটায়, আর সেই ‘নায়ক’ই হয়ে ওঠেন ইতিহাস রচনার প্রধান কারিগর ও স্থপতি। বঙ্গবন্ধু ছিলেন তেমনই একজন কালজয়ী পুরুষ।

কিশোর বয়সেই তিনি সক্রিয় রাজনীতিতে জড়িয়ে পড়েন। কৈশোরে তার রাজনীতির দীক্ষাগুরু ছিলেন হোসেন শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দী। ম্যাট্রিকুলেশন পাসের পর কলকাতায় ইসলামিয়া কলেজে অধ্যয়নকালে তিনি হোসেন শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দী ও শেরেবাংলা একে ফজলুল হকসহ তৎকালীন প্রথম সারির রাজনৈতিক নেতাদের সান্নিধ্যে আসেন।

ওই সময় থেকেই নিজেকে ছাত্র-যুবনেতা হিসেবে রাজনীতির অঙ্গনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন, যোগ দেন আওয়ামী মুসলিম লীগে, যা পরে অসাম্প্রদায়িক চেতনা নিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগ নাম নেয়।

গোপালগঞ্জের মিশন স্কুলে অষ্টম শ্রেণিতে অধ্যয়নকালে ব্রিটিশবিরোধী আন্দোলনে যোগদানের কারণে শেখ মুজিব প্রথমবারের মতো গ্রেফতার হয়ে কারাবরণ করেন। এরপর শুরু হয় তার আজীবন সংগ্রামীর অভিযাত্রা। তিনি তার ব্যক্তিজীবনের এক-চতুর্থাংশ সময় (১২ বছর ১০ মাস) কারাগারে বন্দি ছিলেন।

ইতিহাসের পাতায় পেছন ফিরে তাকালে দেখা যায়, ১৯৪৭ সালে ব্রিটিশ শাসন থেকে স্বাধীনতা লাভের পরপরই ঢাকায় ফিরে নতুন রাজনৈতিক চিন্তা-চেতনা নিয়ে ১৯৪৮ সালে ছাত্রলীগ গঠন করেন শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান।

১৯৪৮ থেকে ১৯৫২-এর মহান ভাষা আন্দোলন, ১৯৫৮-এর আইয়ুব খানের সামরিক শাসনবিরোধী আন্দোলন, ১৯৬২-এর শিক্ষা আন্দোলন, ১৯৬৬-এর ঐতিহাসিক ৬ দফা, স্বায়ত্তশাসনের আন্দোলনে আগরতলা ষড়যন্ত্র মামলায় কারারুদ্ধ হন তিনি।
