The victory celebration of Bangladesh started in Kolkata from tomorrow

Tomorrow is the 49th victory day of the liberation war of Bangladesh. The day is being celebrated separately by the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata and the Indian Army's Eastern Command in Kolkata. Besides, various social organizations in Kolkata are celebrating the day through various programs.

The two-day victory celebration of Bangladesh is starting in Kolkata from tomorrow. The victory celebration has been organized at the premises of the Deputy High Commission in Kolkata. Due to Corona, the duration of the festival has been reduced to two days. This festival will be celebrated in accordance with the tax rules. Everyone has to come after the mask.

This victory celebration has been held in Kolkata for nine years at the initiative of Bangladesh Sub-High Commission in Kolkata. This victory celebration will end on December 17.

This time, the Minister of Power of the Government of West Bengal Shobhandev Chatterjee will be present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting of this festival. Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Kazi Sajjad Ali Zahir (Bir Pratik), a researcher on the liberation war of Bangladesh, will be present as a special guest. Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Kolkata Tawfiq Hasan will preside over the function.

Once again, there are two days of cultural programs surrounding this festival. Renowned artists from Kolkata are joining. There will be information and films and photographs based on the liberation war of Bangladesh. 

The festival will run every day from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Command of the Indian Army in Calcutta has solemnly celebrated the 16th of December. MP from Bangladesh joined the festival. Led by Ali Ashraf, 13 freedom fighters, 6 army officers, 11 civilian officers and a total of 59 representatives including their family members. Lt. J. Sahidul Haque is leading the army delegation.

On this occasion, various events have been organized at Fort William, the Eastern Army Headquarters for five days from 14 to 18 December. Military band concerts and performances by military bands will be held on the occasion of Army Victory Day. An exhibition on Victory Day has also been organized at the Eastern Army Headquarters.

The official opening of the Victory Day celebrations took place on Monday evening at Fort William. The program was inaugurated by GOC Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan of Eastern Command. Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankhar was present as the chief guest. Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Kolkata Tawfiq Hasan was present. A 59-member team of 30 delegates from Bangladesh and their families attended the inaugural function yesterday evening.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Victory Day is being solemnly celebrated in Kolkata on December 16 at the initiative of Bangladesh Sub-High Commission in Kolkata. In the morning, the national flag will be hoisted through the national anthem of Bangladesh at the Deputy High Commission premises. Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Kolkata Tawfiq Hasan will lift. After that, the speeches of the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh will be read out here. After that, a wreath will be laid at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Corner of Calcutta Sub-High Commission. After that special prayers will be offered for the peace of Bangabandhu's soul.
