Whatever the culprit, the punishment must be received: PM


Stating that the government is working to ensure justice and human rights, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that anyone who is guilty of justice should be punished. In addition to protecting human rights, we are also fighting against terrorism, terrorism and drugs.

He was speaking at a ceremony held on Tuesday at World Human Rights Day in an elite hotel in the capital.

Drawing on the context of the assassination of Bangabandhu, the Prime Minister said that after winning the Liberation War in 1971, the father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman worked day and night in the food, medical and education of the people of a devastated country. The nation was starting to get the benefits of it. However, after the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 7, the people of the country began to lose their rights.

Sheikh Hasina said, "On August 8, a family was killed so many people that they were not tried!" The trial of the Bangabandhu murder was stopped by the Indemnity Ordinance. Ziaur Rahman, who once boasted of killing Bangabandhu, said that no one can judge the murder. Zia not only protected the murderers, rewarded them with employment in various embassies. Zia and his wife have elected murderers to the office of president. The opposition leader was stolen and placed in the chair of the opposition.

He said, "Zia was a great human rights abuser. Many people in this country did not get justice for the killing of their own people after the Indemnity Ordinance was issued. Those who liberated the country through the liberation war, Razakar, Al-Badr and Al-Shams were saved by killing them.

Demanding the Rohingya repatriation, she said the liberation war seemed to have taken place after seeing the brutal atrocities inflicted on them in Myanmar. We have given them shelter. They need to ensure safe repatriation.

The UN declared December 6 as 'Human Rights Day'. Since then, every year, December 6, 'Human Rights Day' is celebrated.
